MY APPROACH TO COUNSELLING

Are you feeling stuck in the same unhelpful patterns? Is it becoming more and more difficult to live through anxiety, depression or emotional overwhelm? Reaching out can be hard, but it's the first step towards living a more intentional, fulfilling and joyful life. Conducting in-person therapy in Vancouver, or virtual counselling throughout BC, my approach to therapy is to meet you where you're at with a non-judgemental, curious and empathetic stance. Using concrete tools, I work with clients to build self-acceptance and resilience, while nurturing the belief that meaningful change is possible.
I take a compassionate and collaborative and trauma-informed approach to mental health counselling, whether you're navigating challenges like low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, ADHD or trauma, or seeking more clarity in your life. I also offer couples therapy, where we'll create a space for honest communication helping both partners feeling heard and respected.
Therapeutic approaches that have influenced my practice are Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Though these are the styles I often lean on, I believe a key to therapy is adapting it to your specific issues and personality rather than “one-size fits all” approaches.

SLIDING SCALE COUNSELLING
Therapy should be accessible to all, and in Vancouver affordable counselling can be difficult to find.
I offer a limited amount of spaces on my caseload for sliding scale clients at reduced cost for people for whom financial barriers making accessing counselling more difficult.
